Finally Sailing and Our First Race

We finally got to sail Mako in our home waters. We were impressed with the boat and how sensitive it is to sail trim. Getting used to having the mainsheet run to winches was the biggest change for us.

There were many friends and family that had to listed to our moaning about the process of getting the boat to Olympia. Everyone was excited to see Mako sailing. The Boston Harbor crew came out to support us with some extra beers. Thanks all!

We got 1st Overall for our first race. It was perfect conditions and we sailed really well.
