Jason and three crew that did not do the race are bringing Mako back across the pond. They set out on Tuesday July 26. The trip back is expected to take a bit longer given that the Pacific High is still unstable. The guys were excited to depart and Jason was looking forward to a more leisurely adventure back to Washington.
Clockwise from upper left, Jason, Kuba, Josh and Matt. Just as the race crew was made up of greenhorns, it will be the first crossing for Kuba, Josh and Matt. What an awesome experience!
You can follow Mako's progress in two ways. First is Mako's Predict Wind site here: https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/Mako/ Jason has been posting updates! Looks like they just caught their first Mahi-Mahi!
You can also see Mako and all the other boats returning on the YB Tracker website and app. You need to select the 2022 Pac Cup Return to add to your feed. The site is here: https://cf.yb.tl/paccupreturn
Keep up the great work Jason and crew! There will be a big return party when Mako is home!!!
